A wonderful old wooden ice axe in excellent condition. This ice axe is stout and still could be used today! It features a leather hand cord, neutral tip clearance pick, solid wooden (Hickory) shaft, curved adze and unique diamond shaped spike.

Max and Alfred Fritsch founded the Fritch and Co. in the 1920's and it is still in operation today. Headed up by the fourth generation a Mr. Max and Sebastian Fritsch.
